A New Era for the New Fashion Man...

Louis Vuitton 2012 Spring Collection
Fashion reports speaks of men's 2012 Spring fashion is going to stay away from the classic gray suits and silks ties, and go for a more colorful suits , blast of plaids, and linens.

Versace 2012 Spring Collection

Men have started to understand this fashion culture generation and are willing to take more chances with trends. Even in the corporate business world men have stop wearing the more common black and grey suit, and replace it with plaid blazers and subtle pants, hyper-colorful/plaid button ups, bright color sweaters/cardigans, and unique ties.

Kenzo 2011 Spring/Summer Collection
In Spring  2011, Honeysuckle a close cousin of Hot Pink was a very popular in men's fashion. Kenzo 2011 Spring men's collection was friendly to this color, and Nautica brought the color back with their 2012 Spring collection.

HAPPENING for the American man right now.....

American men fashion has begun to be fun again!  Taking themselves out of this macho era and touching feminism with a masculine twist. The British men fashion is going to be a big influence across the American border this fall with their tartan patterns, tweeds and their dapper look.

What's to Come...

Fashion will become more and more savvy for men they will take more chances and who knows, maybe the skirt designers like Givenchy and Commes des Garcons introduced in 2011 become a classic item. Maybe the girls will give the boys pink back. However, men have stepped up to the plate and comprehend today's fashion movement that has taken place. I foresee growth and variation in style, many accessories, colors, and man skirts in the near future!

Betsey Johnson 2012 Spring Collection

Whelp, Betsey Johnson never seems to do nothing but amaze us with her Out-of-Box Fashions! Pure genius if  you ask me, this show had it all Spring Whites, Iridescent Materials, Prairie Prints, Studs, Sparkles, Leophard and some Cheetah print too!  One of my favorites was what Lulu Johnson wore to open up this show!  Spring white empire bodice with mermaid finishing was the way to open the show why not with your daughter!

The Make up was clean face with very defined cat-like eye
with a very VERY HOT PINK LIP!!!!

Marc Jacobs may be the replacement for John Galliano at Dior.

Nothing is set in stone yet, but the rumors are flying in the fashion world that Marc Jacobs who has been Louis Vuitton Creative Director since 1997 may be leaving to fill the John Galliano place at the fashion house of Dior.  Gallliano, who was suspended after his arrest in February 2011 for racial slurs and conflict in a bar in Paris and then was let go by the mega fashion house in March 2011 after video leaks of his chants "I love Hitler" was publicized to the world.

If Jacobs leaves LV, word has it that Phoebe Philo creative director of CĂ©line will be more than delighted to replace Jacobs!  I am excited about the change that Jacobs may bring to Dior! However, I am worried that he may lose the brand if he takes the classic feel away.

Color Blocking In Layers....

Color Blocking was this Summer's hottest trend!!! This TREND combines the use of two or more blocks of color in an ensemble. Color Blocking is creating an outfit by putting areas or blocks of solid color next to each other.
Color Block Make Up

Color Block Accessories

The colors chosen can either be monotone, bright colours, muted colors, contrasting and complimentary colors.  You can combine a a vibrant top with a vibrant bottom or a monotone tunic or dress with a vibrant handbag or shoe vice versa.  This trend is a fun and bubbly trend I am excited to see where it goes!!! Here are some of the different variations color blocking below!!!
